So, what is Wellness?
The World Health Organization defines mental wellness as “a state of well-being in which the individual realizes their own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to their community.”
Emotional wellness on the other hand reflects your ability to understand and deal with your feelings. It involves attending to your own feelings and thoughts, monitoring your reactions, and identifying barriers to your emotional wellness.

Mental Wellness Reflection:
- Am I aware of times that I have been resilient?
- When do I feel stressed and what are my coping strategies?
- Would I see a therapist if I felt like I needed to?
Emotional Wellness Reflection:
- When I am upset with myself, would I treat others the way I am treating myself?
- Have I given myself credit for everything I’ve accomplished?
- How can I learn to be patient with myself?
